Original manga manuscripts and enlarged panels at Japan Media Arts Festival

The Japan Media Arts Festival is an annual festival held by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs since 1997. The former winners of the Manga Awards of this festival includes highly acclaimed mangas such as Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue, Sexy Voice and Robo by Iou Kuroda and Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms by Fumiko Kono, and it is considered one of the most prestigious manga prizes in Japan.

This year "Piano no Mori" by Makoto Isshki won the Grand Prize, and the Excellence Prizes were given to "Real Clothes" by Satoru Makimura, "Shiori to Shimiko" by Daijiro Moroboshi, "Maestro" by Akira Saso and "Munakata Kyoju Ikouroku" by Yukinobu Hoshino.

Seventeen titles including "Inuyasha", "Oishinbo", "Moyashimon", "Nodame Cantabile" were recommended as well and there's a reading room at the exhibition where you can enjoy them.
